Chicago is one OF the world's greatest Music Cities.
But due to Covid-19, its many stages are silent and thousands of musicians have lost their primary source of income. Sustain’s mission is to continue to advance Chicago’s rich musical legacy by commissioning new works of music by local artists.
What we’re doing.
Sustain raised funds through generous donations from individuals, corporations, and philanthropic organizations. Those who donated $40 or more were able to nominate a musician or band to receive a grant. Awardees each received a $1,000 grant to fund the creation of new works of music.
